Learn how to bluff during your free poker game
When playing poker (free poker or high stakes poker) one technique poker players will need to master is to employ deception, or use the poker bluff. A bluff is when a player will persuade their poker table opponent into thinking things or doing things differently. For example, if you have a very strong hand and choose to get excited about it, and show your excitement, you poker opponents will likely fold their hands early and therefore, put less money in the pot then they would have otherwise.
The trick about bluffing is that one wants to intimidate their opponent, or throw him of course, so the opponent is left thinking that the player has a worseless hand. Playing poker – even if it is free poker – is all about never letting your opponents read you. For instance, if a players sees that his opponent never bluffs, he will know immediately when the player has a big hand because he will go all in. This is not the way to play. You should want your opponent to be unsure about your hand for the entire game. Another technique to try at the poker table is slow playing, betting weak with a strong hand, or betting strong with a weak hand. Whether it’s free poker or high staked poker, it is important to master the bluff.
Some of the best free poker games around include: Texas hold’em poker, Omaha poker, 7 card stud, pineapple, razz, 5 card draw and triple card draw.
